Originally built in 1931, Fire House KC was once the only fire station in Midtown Kansas City and the main respondent to the area for more than 40 years. After it closed in 1979, the building sat vacant for the next 40 years. Owned by UC-B Investment Properties, the property was purchased in 2019 and meticulous restoration began to breathe new life into this historic wedding venue.

Now, Fire House KC has been reborn to become the ideal gathering and event space in one of Kansas City’s most beautiful and enduring historical landmarks.

Hi! My name is Miranda and I am so excited to plan your big day!

I have been a Lead Planner for ThirtyOne:Thirty Events since 2022, and I am so excited to bring my learned experience to Fire House KC. Prior to being part of the ThirtyOne:Thirty team, I worked as a first grade teacher. My passion has always lied in helping others achieve their dreams and goals. I love all things planning and logistics, and strive to see a vision come together!

Outside of the events world, I am a proud Kansas City native with a serious travel bug. I am blessed to have visited over 30 states and 30 countries. My goal is to add to that list as often as I can, I’m always planning my next adventure. When I’m at home, you’re likely to find me cooking, crafting, watching reality TV, or spending time with my husband and our fur babies. Fun fact - we are big Star Wars nerds in our household, and named our pets (Binks, Leia, and Anakin) after our favorite franchise!
